1. Objective: Learn all about leather, parts of hide, different weight of hides & how to choose the
right hide for your project, plus first project- belt
*Tools will be available for class - Tools may be purchased and are strongly recommended for
future projects. We can give a list of leather suppliers or you can purchase tools from The
Leather Lady, LLC’s website at a student discount rate of 10% off. Please purchase tools 2 weeks
prior to class (due to inventory) and ASK US FOR DISCOUNT CODE)

      *Cutting a straight edge on a side of leather
      *Finding your belt measurement
      *Cutting a belt strap
      *Beveling belt edges
      *Dying belt edges
      *Finishing edges
      *Fastening buckle

Cutter (Box Knife & blades, Head Knife or Round Knife),Beveler, Strap Cutter, Awl/Scratching tool,
snap/rivet, buckle, hole punch, Ruler, measuring tape, pounding steel, Cutting board, Snap setter, rivet
